Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said the government has prioritised the development of Sambhal and directed state and district officials to develop Sambhal in a phased manner.
Holding a review meeting in Sambhal on Sunday, the CM inquired about the progress of the ongoing development works in the district.

He also reviewed the law and order in Sambhal.
“In the first phase, restore the ancient pilgrimage sites and wells. In the second phase, focus on development works such as a museum and light-and-sound sound projects,” the CM instructed.
The Chief Minister also called for prompt action on the construction of a district court, prison, and PAC barracks in Sambhal. He reviewed the work of several departments, including Revenue, Home, Justice, Charitable Works, Public Works, Tourism-Culture, and Urban Development.
The Chief Minister stated that there are 68 pilgrimage sites and 19 wells in Sambhal. The state government is working to restore and identify these pilgrimage sites. The Chief Minister directed the local administration to expedite these projects.
The Chief Minister stated that all departments should have offices within the integrated complex. He was informed that 93% of the land required for residential and non-residential buildings has been purchased. He directed officials to prepare the DPR and expedite the remaining work.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to expedite the land acquisition process for establishing the District Court, Jail, and PAC.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to step up land acquisition, road construction, and public facilities near important pilgrimage sites along the 24 Kosi Parikrama.
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of restoration work on the Mahishmati River, noting that rivers are life-giving and the government is working to conserve them. He also issued directions to expedite the restoration work by preparing projects under the Namami Gange initiative.
The Chief Minister inquired about the progress of works being carried out under the Urban Development Department’s Vandan Yojana, Chief Minister Global Nagarodaya Yojana, Funeral Site Development Yojana, Urban Water Development Yojana, Lake/Pokhar/Talaab Yojana, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Urban Development Yojana, and directed that these projects be completed expeditiously.
